Former Bayern Munich chief executive Michael Reschke has ruled out letting Joshua Kimmich leave the club this summer football.

Former technical director Michael Reschke has admitted. He would be surprised if Bayern Munich decide to sell Joshua Kimmich this summer. As he does not think it would be in the Bavarians’ best interests to keep the 29-year-old. Sky Germany reported on Thursday UFABET

‘If I were still at Bayern Munich I would do everything in my power to keep Kimmik. A player with such a mentality and talent who has done. So well at international level over the years, and that means both positions (right-back and midfield),’ Reschke said.

Reschke still believes Kimmich can form a strong midfield partnership at Bayern Munich. Despite the Bavarians splashing out €50m to sign Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha from Fulham.

‘I’ve always seen Kimmik as more of an 8 than a 6, that’s why Palhinha is a great fit. The next few weeks will show what Joshua Kimmik has in mind. There will be important discussions with those responsible, especially with the new coach, and then we’ll see what happens.’

If Reschke had any say in the Bayern board room. Perhaps Bayern would have been parading a newly signed contract around months ago. However, the higher ups in Munich seem less convinced of Bayern’s #6 than Reschke is. Ultimately, if Bayern and Kimmich will be able to hash out an agreement is anyone’s guess.
